Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

This policy covers econplot.com and the EconPlot email briefing. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

If you subscribe: your email address, the date you subscribed, and which page you subscribed from. Nothing else โ€” we do not ask for your name, and we do not buy or append data about you from anywhere.

If you contact us about sponsorship: the name, work email, company, role and campaign description you type into that form.

Everyone else: nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site. Our content delivery network keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for operational and security purposes.

What we do with it

Your email address is used to send you the EconPlot briefing, and for nothing else. Sponsorship enquiries are used to reply to you. We do not sell, rent or share your address, and we do not use it to target you with advertising anywhere.

Where it is kept

In Amazon Web Services in the United States, in a database we control. If we later move the list to an email delivery platform, that provider will process it on our behalf under the same terms, and this policy will be updated to name them before it happens.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until you ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing removes you from the sending list; asking us to delete removes the record entirely.

Your rights

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it โ€” email hello@econplot.com and we will act on it. If you are in the UK or the EU, the lawful basis for sending you the briefing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and date the change. Material changes to how we use email addresses will also be announced in the briefing itself.
